Loxoprofen sodium was first developed by Sankyo Co., Ltd in Japan. Now loxoprofen sodium is the best-selling non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug in Japan. Compared with similar drugs in clinical practice, loxoprofen sodium has the following characteristics: stronger (good clinical effect), faster (peak plasma concentration within 30 minutes of oral administration), safer (less side effects). Another type of characteristics is a wide range of indications, clinical can be widely used in rheumatoid arthritis, low back pain, periarthritis of shoulder, neck and wrist syndrome and other anti-inflammatory analgesia, analgesia and inflammation after surgery, trauma and tooth extraction and acute upper respiratory tract inflammation of antipyretic analgesia.

Loxoprofen sodium is produced by methyl 2-oxocyclopentane carboxylate (Cas No. 10472-24-9) and 2-(4-bromomethyl) phenylpropionic acid (Cas No. 111128-12-2).
