China has become the world's largest producer of antipyretic analgesics, the output of aspirin, paracetamol, metamizole and other varieties has exceeded 10,000 tons, and the output of phenacetin, aminopyrine, antipyrine and other varieties has exceeded 1000 tons. At present, the production of antipyretic analgesics in China has grown rapidly, and it is expected to increase at a rate of about 8% in the future. The output of intermediates for the supporting production of antipyretic analgesics is large, and there are many production enterprises. With the growth of antipyretic analgesics, the intermediates have also developed considerably.

In 2003, the domestic consumption of paracetamol increased rapidly, and exports also showed a rapid growth momentum, with an export volume of 28,163 tons, and the annual export volume increased by about 1 times year-on-year. In the first half of 2004, although the growth rate of its exports slowed down, it still increased, and the export volume of paracetamol in January ~ May 2004 was 12501 tons, slightly higher than the same period last year. Para-aminophenol is an important intermediate in the synthesis of paracetamol and is growing rapidly. China's annual output of p-aminophen is 32,000 tons, it is expected that by 2005, the domestic paracetamol production will reach more than 50,000 tons, the pharmaceutical industry will consume 45,000 tons of p-aminophen, plus the application in other fields, the total demand for p-aminophen in 2005 is about 50,000 tons, the market gap is large, and the development and utilization prospects are broad.
